Q: How do I send a message to multiple pros at once?
A:
Use the "My Professionals" interface to send a message to multiple recipients.
This is a great way to receive multiple bids with just the click of a button.
Add professionals to your "My Professionals" interface by clicking on the "ADD TO MY PROS"
button found on each professional profile.
Q: Why should I "ADD TO MY PROS"?
A:
Use the My Professionals section within your account to:
- Get connected with multiple professionals simultaneously and receive several competitive quotes with a single message.
- Organize your favorite professionals into custom categories. (i.e. Plumbers, Roofers, Favorites, etc.)
- Group professionals into project "teams" to help you through your project from start to finish. (i.e. 2007 Basement Team, 2008 Kitchen Remodel Pros, etc.)
- Archive professionals from past projects for quick reference on future projects.
Q: Where do I find My Professionals?
A:
The My Professionals section is located within the user account.
Use the My Account link in the header to find the My Professionals interface.
Clicking on "ADD TO MY PROS" on the pro profile automatically saves that professional
to your account. Use the My Professionals interface to drag & drop professionals into
personalized categories, connect with multiple professionals all at once,
and archive your favorite professionals.
Q: Why should I "REMOVE PRO"?
A:
Clicking the "REMOVE PRO" button deletes an archived professional from
the My Professionals section. Use this if you no longer wish to archive
this professional within your account.
Q: How do I change the search zip code?
A:
Once you have logged in or typed in a zip code for you search,
the site will automatically save this zip code for future searches.
If you need to change it for any reason, go to the subcategory-listing
page in any of the 4 main categories. Then, click on the zip code in the
upper right hand corner of the screen where it reads "searching in xxxxx".
It may also read, "searching in set zip".
Q: Why do I need to create an account or login?
A:
All of the information found on our site is completely free.
However, to interact with the site it is required for a user to login.
Creating a homeowner account is free and logging in will allow you to:
- Request quotes and get connected with professionals
- Leave feedback for professionals you have used in the past
- Interact in the Q&A Forum with other homeowners and professionals
- Archive professionals in your “My Professionals” section
- Save your favorite articles to your account for future reference
Q: How do I leave feedback for a professional whose services I have used in the past?
A:
First, login as a homeowner. Second, search for the Professional Profile of the
professional you used. This can be done by searching in the specific subcategories the
professional has chosen to be found in, or by typing the company name in the "SEARCH"
box found in the header. The professional may also provide you with a sub-domain address
that takes you directly to the Professional Profile page. Once you are on the profile page,
click on the "+ LEAVE FEEDBACK" button.
Q: How can I request to have a professional listed on AmericaHomeToday.com?
A:
Before making any decision about your home, it is important to study up on AmericaHomeToday.com.
